Structure layout and skeletons
- RnaViz does not predict structure, it draws structures given in a format
- Structure settings determine fonts, display of connectors, spacing between bases, etc. when creating a new drawing (or redrawing helices)
- Skeleton files contain structure settings, positions and directions of helices and are used to draw similar structures using the same layout
- Several skeletons and structures are included in the distribution
- RnaViz always asks for a skeleton when loading a structure. When canceled, automatic layout is used; large structures drawn without a skeleton usually contain overlapping helices.
- Full manual layout is only needed once for one type of structure
- The structure layout and annotation can be edited very easily
